| Dear Members, It’s time to try something new! The Algarveans are launching our very first 10-Minute Play Festival, to be performed on Friday, 21 November 2025 at The Little Theatre, UJS Hall, Sesmarias. Auditions: Tuesday, September 2nd at 7:00 PM Thursday, September 4th at 7:00 PM Where: UJS Hall, Sesmarias What’s a 10-minute play? A complete story — beginning, middle, and end — told in just ten minutes. They’re quick, bold, and fun, with no long speeches to memorize. Each role is manageable, making this the perfect chance to jump in whether you’re brand new, experienced, or somewhere in between. We’ll be staging eight plays, each with 2–4 actors. Roles cover every age and character type — from laugh-out-loud comedy to drama, even the quirky and thought-provoking. And yes, you might even be cast in more than one! Rehearsals will mainly run Tuesdays and Thursdays, but with such small casts, directors and actors can often arrange flexible schedules that work around other commitments.No prep needed — just show up, read, and join the fun.
